About us
Baking should feel fun, not like a chemistry exam.
Crumb Club is a (fictional) online baking school for people who are brand new to the kitchen.
Meet the founder
Hi, I'm Leah, a marketing student and home baker. I started baking the way a lot of people do: by following a recipe exactly and still ending up with cookies that melted into one giant puddle. The recipe never said what went wrong.
Once I learned why it happened, baking got much easier. I created Crumb Club to share those explanations in plain language for beginners who want to understand their bakes.
Our mission
Our goal is to help total beginners bake with confidence by explaining the reasons behind each step, troubleshooting common mistakes, and keeping equipment simple and affordable.
How we create our guides
- Problem first. Each guide starts with a real beginner question, like "Why did my cookies go flat?"
- Checked against trusted sources. We compare our advice with established baking references such as King Arthur Baking and list our sources at the end of each guide.
- Plain language. Each baking term is explained the first time it appears.
- Honest about limits. Ovens, altitudes and ingredients vary, so we tell you what to adjust and what to watch for instead of promising perfect results.
Please note: Crumb Club is a concept business created for a Digital Marketing class project. The guides and baking tips are real and fact-checked, but the courses are not yet for sale and no payments are collected.
